Five young artists participated in the first workshop for kids ages 8–12 at the WPAG on Sat. Jan. 9. Each student made a color wheel and learned about primary and secondary colors. Mixing yellow, blue, and red watercolor paint on wet paper, the children created original masterpieces to take home. See photos from the workshop below.
Thanks to the following WPAG members who volunteered their time to ensure the children not only had fun but learned important principles of art: Sally Hanlon, Karen Jaenichen, Jean Metzenthin, Mano Visweshwar, and Marilyn Wescott. The next workshop for young artists, Color and Shape Magic with Watercolor,” will be held on Saturday, January 30 from 9:30-11:30.
