2020 Board Elections on March 6
Each year, the WPAG membership holds elections for all the Officers (president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary) as well as one Director. This year, the election will be 1pm March 6 during our regularly scheduled general membership meeting. One must be a member in good standing with dues paid in full for 2020 in order to cast a vote or run for office.

The nominations and elections committee is seeking nominations for the following board of director positions:
President: term 1 year
The president shall be the chief executive of the Guild. The president shall preside over all meetings of the membership and board. He/she shall have the power and duties of supervision and management vested in the office of president. It shall be the duty of the president to appoint the committee chairs, approve all members thereon, and be an ex-officio member of all committees.
Vice President: term 1 year
The vice president shall perform the duties and exercise the powers of the president during the absence or disability of the president and carry out such other duties as assigned by the president. The vice president shall also assume the duties of business administrator.
Treasurer: term 1 year
The treasurer shall keep accurate accounts of all monies transferred to him/her and pay all bills incurred by the Guild in a timely manner. All bills are subject to approval by two of the board of directors. The treasurer shall also ensure all required state, IRS, and taxing authority legal filings and reporting are maintained in a timely and consistent manner.
Secretary: term 1 year
The recording secretary shall keep accurate minutes of all meetings of the membership and the board of directors.
Director At-Large: term 3 years
One director position is up for election in March 2020. There are four directors shall guide and assist in the management of the Guild. One director shall be elected each year to serve a three-year term as provided in the WPAG Articles of Incorporation. The past president automatically serves as a director. Non-voting advisory members may be appointed by the president. The board is authorized to conduct the business of the Guild.
Bylaws Regarding Election: ARTICLE IV – BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Section 4. Qualifications
To qualify for the office of president or vice president, a candidate must have been an active, sustaining, or life member for at least two years; all other officers must have been a member for at least one year or have related experience.
Section 5. Requirements
Residency: Members of the board of directors of the West Pasco Art Guild, Inc. shall consist of directors and officers who must be active, sustaining, or life members and reside in Florida at least seven months of the year.
Section 6. Capacity
The president, vice-president, recording secretary, corresponding secretary, and treasurer shall have the same capacity as officers of the board of directors, and attend all membership and board of directors’ meetings.
