The health and safety of our members is a priority to us. Because of the current health concern, the Guild Board canceled/postponed all activities and in-person services (including the gallery, studio and gift shop). We have now made the decision to re-open slowly and in compliance with the Governor’s and CDC guidelines. The building has been cleaned and disinfected, and will be after each activity. CDC posters have been placed in various areas concerning preventing Covid-19.
We are now open for the Tuesday morning “Open Painting” only and are limiting the number of attendees to 14; one person per table. We have removed all plastic coverings from the tables so they can be easily cleaned after each use, and ask attendees to bring their own plastic cover and to clean up their table when the session has ended. We will start adding other times gradually and will possibly have small workshops (14 maximum attendees) from time to time. Please watch for our Latest News.
As of now, we plan to be totally reopened for the next general meeting to be held at the Guild on Friday, September 4th, 2020.
We continue to plan for more online offerings (shows, classes, workshops, etc.), and continue to be eager to start up in person again as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. We are closely monitoring the news and the directives of the Governor’s office. Please continue to be involved with us on social media and, of course, find time to be creative!
Please watch the website, Facebook and your email for updates. We feel this is necessary to protect the health of all of our valued members. We sincerely appreciate all you have done to prepare for these events.
We hope you and your family remain healthy and we look forward to returning to our programs as soon as we can. In the meanwhile, please know your board is working hard to keep our creativity going during this temporary situation. We have a written business plan that is constantly being updated and are working on a more extensive facility plan. Please stay engaged online!
