Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Board and General Membership meetings scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, September 14, 2020, at 5:00 pm via ZOOM has been CANCELLED. We thank Sarah Hanson, Hanson Art & Design, a Guild member and sponsor, for her willingness to do the demo after the meeting and hope to get her rescheduled for a future meeting.
While we genuinely miss seeing you at the Guild, the Board has made the decision NOT to have any classes until further notice, and we will be taking a short break on the rejuvenation projects in the building.
The health and safety of our members continues to be a priority to us. Because of the continuation of the Covid-19 health concern, the Guild Board canceled/postponed all activities and in-person services (including the gallery, studio and gift shop). Consequently, the Guild is now totally closed and we are currently involved in a complete “overhaul, cleaning and organizing” of the interior of the building. We have made the decision to re-open slowly and in compliance with the Governor’s and CDC guidelines, hopefully sometime in October. CDC posters have been placed in various areas concerning preventing Covid-19. Additionally, we will limit the number of in-person attendees, and will clean and disinfect before and after each function.
We continue to plan for more online offerings (shows, classes, workshops, etc.), and continue to be eager to start up in person again as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. We are closely monitoring the news and the directives of the Governor’s office. Please continue to be involved with us on social media and, of course, find time to be creative!
Please watch the website, Facebook and your email for updates. We feel this is necessary to protect the health of all of our valued members. We sincerely appreciate all you have done to prepare for these events.
May you be Healthy & Creative
We hope you and your family remain healthy and we look forward to returning to our programs as soon as we can. In the meanwhile, please know your board is working hard to keep our creativity going during this temporary situation. We have a written business plan that is constantly being updated and are working on a more extensive facility plan. Please stay engaged online!
